Sometimes you let yourself get overwhelmed and you sit down with your head in  your hands and think that there is no way that things will get better. You say to yourself things will work out, but you don’t believe yourself… they’re just comforting words at that moment… that moment when you’re hanging on by a thread and think the world around you is slowly dissolving. 

Yet after that phase passes you realize that in reality every thing did work out, or at the very least is starting to head in that direction. It is fascinating to me how one hiccup in your plan throws your whole view out of whack… maybe it’s just me… maybe I get overwhelmed easily when it comes to certain life events… either way, after a few weeks of stress and confusion I’m starting to realize what needs to be done. 

The end of the world didn’t come, I didn’t fail in anyway nor am I heading in that direction. I just let a situation get the best of me but I have shown myself to be stronger. I cannot take full credit though. It was due to the love and advice from my friends and family that have allowed me to overcome this. 

Sometimes we think that we need to be strong, that everything that happens in life we need to take care of it by ourselves because it is only then that we can say that we truly deserved it. We want to be strong and not show that we have weaknesses… but I think that that in and of itself is a weakness. We need to know at what time we need to be strong and when we should allow someone to help us… 

That is a lesson that I have learned and knowledge that I will keep for the rest of my life. 

With that I thank all those who have kept me high when I was feeling down, those who made me smile when tears were streaming down my face and those who never let me give up when I was losing hope.
